The Magical Product Swap!

MrsStanfordsClass

I am so excited to be a part of this!  I got the honor of swapping products with the fabulous Amy Swan, from Happy Teacher Heaven!

Happy Teacher Heaven
My kiddos used her, Find Sprout: a differentiated Word Sorting Activity!  It was great!  It included cute CVC word cards and CVCe word cards, and recording sheets which were differentiated by the different Tiers!  PERFECT

I did this in a small group, but it can be done with a large group too!  Each kiddo got a turn to pick a card, read the word, then write it in the correct spot on their recording sheet.  We went around doing this until all the words were chosen.

We played at a table, but is perfect for a pocket chart too!

Of course we flipped them over because it is more fun when it is a surprise!

After, we got all the words written down we played a little game using these cute little sprout cards!  My kiddos were obsessed!  It was like they all had a new friend named Sprout!

Now, we played with the cards face up, and each kiddo picked a card would read it and circle it on their recording sheet.  If they picked up the card and there was a cute little sprout card underneath it they could keep the sprout card if they were able to read the CVC word.

This little one had TWO!  Of course, they were "best friends"!

The person who has the most sprout cards at the end is the winner!  Every group I played with wanted to do it again when we were all done!  Such a fun and engaging activity!  It is great because you can pick harder words for your higher students.   I used the Tier 1 worksheet that you see in this post.

There is a spot on the bottom to write a sentence using one of the words!  My kiddos loved this part too!  I let them take one of the cards and then write their sentences.  They were all secretive about picking their cards and writing their sentence.  Then, they were so excited to share what they wrote!
Check out what is all included:
